Privacy notice

CGE Insights is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. This notice explains what we collect through the website, why we use it and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

If you submit the project enquiry form, we may collect your name, organisation, work email address, the service you are interested in, approximate dataset size and the information you choose to include in your message.

Why we use it

We use enquiry information to respond to you, understand potential project requirements, prepare or discuss a scope of work, manage business communications and keep appropriate records of prospective client conversations.

Lawful basis

For ordinary business enquiries, processing is generally necessary for our legitimate interests in responding to prospective clients and developing business relationships, or to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.

Please do not send sensitive data through the form

Do not upload or paste customer datasets, passwords, financial information, health information, special-category personal data or other confidential records into the public enquiry form. If a project requires sensitive information, an appropriate transfer and handling process should be agreed first.

Service providers

The website may use third-party infrastructure and communications providers to host the site and deliver enquiries. Where such providers process information on our behalf, they should only receive information necessary to provide the relevant service.

Use of AI-assisted tools

CGE Insights may use AI-assisted tools where they are appropriate to an agreed analytical task. CGE Insights does not use client information to train proprietary AI models. Confidential or sensitive client information is not entered into public or general-purpose AI systems. If an approved AI service is proposed for a client project, the relevant data-handling arrangements should be agreed before processing begins.

Retention

Enquiry information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, manage the potential business relationship, meet legal or accounting obligations where applicable, and maintain appropriate business records. Information that is no longer needed should be deleted or anonymised.

Cookies and analytics

CGE Insights does not need advertising cookies to provide the core website. If non-essential analytics or marketing technologies are added later, this notice and any required consent controls should be updated before those technologies are enabled.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights over your personal information, including access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection. You may also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
